Chili Americana

4 Tbsp. Butter, unsalted 1 Tbsp. Red Pepper Flakes

1 C. Onion, chopped 1 Tbsp. Chicken Base, powdered

2 lbs. Lean Beef, ground 28 oz. Crushed Tomato

6 oz. Tomato Paste 46 oz. Vegetable Juice

1/2 C. Sugar, granulated 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce

2 Tbsp. American Spice Blend 15.5 oz. Kidney Beans (optional) 

Directions:

Melt butter in a large pot, add onions and cook until translucent.  Then add the lean ground beef and brown.  Now add the tomato paste, mix, and cook for about 1 minute.  Add the sugar, American Spice Blend, red pepper flakes, and chicken base and stir until incorporated.  Pour in the crushed tomato, vegetable juice, Worcestershire sauce, and (optional) kidney beans.  Stir and cook on a light simmer for 1 hour.  Enjoy!

Tips: use Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce for the best depth of flavor!
